Hey what’s up ya jerks?! I’m SoapyFresh, and today I’m going to guide you on how to start mining Monero using Xmr-Stak-Rx!  Xmr-Stak-Rx is a FREE Monero miner for the RandomX algorithm used by Monero, Loki, and several other coins.  If you have any questions about Monero mining, or about the Xmr-Stak-Rx miner, feel free to visit the official xmr-stak subreddit.

First, visit Xmr-Stak’s github page. Under the releases tab, select the Xmr-Stak-Rx button.

Scroll down, and under “assets” you’ll see a list of files. Select your operating system to download the latest release.

Unzip/tar the file you’ve downloaded, and launch the application!

You’ll be prompted with a question asking if you’d like to use the simple setup method, I suggest saying yes!

Next you’ll be asked what currency you’d like to mine. For the purposes of this tutorial, we’re going to choose Monero!

Now, you’ll need to enter the pool address and port that you want to mine. Let’s enter pool.supportxmr.com:3333

The next prompt will be to enter your Username for the pool, which is almost always your Monero wallet address.

Some pools require a password, SupportXMR needs you enter x into this field, just as suggested!

Do you need to use TLS/SSL? Don’t know what that is? It doesn’t matter then, you can answer No!

After answering this final question, xmr-stak-rx will begin mining!

You can press “h” to see your hashrate

You can press “r” to see your results. This will show you a list of the highest difficulty shares you’ve submitted to the pool. If the difficulty of a share you’ve submitted is higher than the network difficulty, then you’ve found a block!

You can press “c” to get a quick view of your connection information
